NICRCF – Get Involved

Do you want to get involved in helping to influence cancer research in Northern Ireland?

If you are living with or beyond cancer, or are a relative or carer of someone with cancer, you may want to consider getting involved to help influence cancer research. We are looking for people with lived experience of cancer to join the Northern Ireland Cancer Research Consumer Forum. An interest in cancer research is important, but you do not need to have taken part in a clinical trial.

Cancer research is important because it helps us find new ways to prevent, diagnose, and treat cancer. Every year hundreds of people in Northern Ireland take part in cancer clinical trials, or other high quality research studies. This type of research is expanding, and it is taking place at the Northern Ireland Cancer Centre in Belfast, the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children, the North West Cancer Centre Altnagelvin Hospital and Antrim, Craigavon and Ulster Hospitals.

We recognise the importance of diverse representation and would welcome interest from a broad range of people
