Alan was 61 when he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He was fit and healthy but worried that this meant his life was going to be cut short. After taking part in a research study for several months, scans showed his cancer was gone. He has been in remission ever since. He said: “I’ve got 6 years of extra life! Medicine saved my life.
