A new course for cancer patient advocates from across the island of Ireland.

Voice-Ireland is a five day course for patient advocates to build their confidence in engaging with cancer research and clinical trials.  The initiative is co-designed by patients and offers the opportunity to meeting leading cancer researchers and explore the science behind the research. The course builds confidence so that patients and carers are willing and able to get involved in conversations about how research happens.

Aidan McCormick, Chair of Northern Ireland Cancer Research Consumer Forum (NICRCF) and Debbie Keatley, Patient Advocate have both acted as Voice Ireland Co-Leads working with the All-Island Cancer Research Institute (AICRI) to deliver this course for the first time in Ireland.  They were joined by NICRCF members James Caldwell, Ashley Hurst, Denver Lynn who are attending the course in Dublin this week.
